Personnel Show Housing Tip:

Work with the local show authorized Housing Bureau when possible as they have the negotiating power with local hotels for the best rates.  Beware of non-authorized housing scams soliciting exhibitors. Housing Bureau designated hotels will also offer a free shuttle bus service to and from the show site saving money on taxi and rental cars.

International Exhibiting Tips:

International Wood Packaging Regulations

ISPM15  Certification

If you are considering shipping your existing booth or building a new booth for International shows keep in mind the construction materials must meet ISPM15 requirements for wooden packaging materials to help prevent the worldwide spread of plant pests and diseases. For more information visit: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/import_export/plants/plant_exports/wpm/wpm_faqs.shtml

Crate Height Restrictions for Air Freight

Height restrictions are limited by aircraft door openings. Crates up to 64″ high and 118” in length can be shipped on passenger or cargo planes, for most domestic and international shipments.

Safety Tip:

When Exhibiting Internationally make 3 copies of your passport.  Leave 1 at home with someone.  Leave the 2nd in your hotel room, and keep the third on you person.  This way if you get robbed while in another country, this will save you from additional aggravation.
